Preliminary Study on Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease |
|
This preliminary study on the effects of Brain State Conditioning™ on clients with Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease was published in Frontiers in Neuroscience, May 2009. In it, six subjects experienced 10 or more training sessions and their improvements were documented. |

Nevada Prison Demonstration |
|
The goal of this demonstration was to establish the effectiveness of Brain State Conditioning™ with inmates in a prison setting over a short training time period. The scope includes performance of Brain State Conditioning™ for four or more inmates within a three week time period. Six inmates were chosen by Warden Lenard Varé of the Southern Nevada Correctional Center in Jean, Nevada. Brain State Conditioning™ was accomplished with these inmates between August 27 and September 13, 2007.

Pilot Study on PTSD, Depression and Anxiety |
|
A pilot study using Brain State Conditioning™ on 8 subjects with symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression and anxiety problems was conducted. Brain training positively impacted the quality of life of all subjects, as described in the study. Published in the Journal of Special Education and Rehabilitation 2009, it is offered both in English and Russian. |

Impact of Brain Autoimmunity Diseases |
|
Vijendra K. Singh, Ph.D., Research Director of Brain State Technologies™, was published in the March 2009 issue of Infocus, the newsletter of the American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association. In his article, he discusses how 50 million people suffer from autoimmune diseases due to an abnormal reaction of their immune system. This autoimmunity is a cause of chronic diseases, but this number doesn’t include several brain diseases and mental illnesses for which brain autoimmunity has been demonstrated, including autism, Alzheimer’s, Tourette’s, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Dr. Singh further expounds on possible causes and studies of autoimmune diseases, the need to include this larger patient population in future studies, and the promise of brain state conditioning™ in relation to these diseases. |

Brain Fact
The brain is healthier when it's various parts are better integrated, like an orchestra when all the sections playing together to create beautiful music. According to a 1981 study in International Journal of Neuroscience, higher levels of brain integration are associated with higher moral reasoning, emotional stability and decreased anxiety. |
